A supplier gives its best prices to those who buy a lot. A contractor on his own, however busy, stays a small account in their eyes. MOD pools the purchases of every contractor it represents: when we negotiate, the supplier sees the volume of the whole group, not that of your next jobsite.
The result: prices, lead times and terms you wouldn't get by calling yourself. And the bigger the group gets, the bigger your buying power gets with it, without changing anything in how you work.

What's included
Everything between your list and your jobsite.
- Multi-supplier quotes. Several dealers and distributors consulted for every list, not just one.
- Negotiation and terms. Price, lead times, delivery fees, credit terms: we negotiate for you, with the volume of every MOD contractor behind your order.
- Order and delivery follow-up. Confirmation, delivery date, substitutions, returns: one person to call.
Not included: take-offs from plans (you provide the list, we validate it with you) and financing. MOD never buys in its own name: you order from and pay the supplier directly, on the negotiated terms.
Why it's free
MOD is paid by the suppliers, on the sales we bring them. Never by you. And because we work with several suppliers, we have no interest in pushing you toward one or another: our interest is that you come back with the next project.
The outside-buyer service is offered in areas where no dealer has given us an exclusive mandate. Where one has, we tell you up front.

What contractors ask us.
Why would your prices be better than mine?
Because we don't buy for one jobsite, we buy for a group. A supplier sets its prices on the total volume a customer brings; MOD brings the volume of every contractor it represents. You benefit from that volume without changing anything: you still order from and pay the supplier directly.
Is it really free?
Yes. You never receive an invoice from MOD. We are paid by the suppliers, on the sales we bring them. The price you pay is the one negotiated with the supplier, not a marked-up price.
Who invoices me?
The supplier you chose, directly, on the negotiated terms. MOD does not place the order in its own name and never handles the money. If you don't have an account with that supplier, we help you open one.
Which materials?
Everything building-material dealers and distributors sell: lumber and framing, envelope, roofing, insulation, doors and windows, hardware, finishing, and depending on the suppliers in your area, plumbing and electrical. No labour.
How long to get prices?
It depends on the list and the season. A simple list comes back in a few business days; a full project takes longer because we consult more suppliers. Tell us your target delivery date and we plan accordingly.
Do you also work for dealers?
Yes, and we say so clearly. In areas where a dealer has given us an exclusive mandate, we work for them and tell you up front. Everywhere else, we consult several suppliers for you and you choose.
Is my project information confidential?
Your plans, lists and prices are used only to obtain your quotes. They are not resold or shared beyond the suppliers consulted for your project. See our privacy policy.
Careers
Know the jobsite and want to cross to the other side?
MOD hires field reps who come from the trade: carpenters, foremen, estimators, yard staff, counter staff. No sales experience required. You need to know materials, like the jobsite and be able to keep a follow-up up to date.
You're paid on performance, you work your own territory, and you keep one foot on the jobsite: that's where accounts get developed.
